The R/L teams competing in said FIFA mini-league were all numbered according to their FIFA WC groups, then whirled around and after Nig, Mrs Nig, Tom and and Mrs tom had picked their numbers from a hat (tho', in this case, the hat was actually a used jiffy bag), the teams were re-numbered according to the order they were picked from the hat. The remaining numbers were offered to residents of Talktown (like Hattytown, but with Marmite!). Whatever number was chosen by one of the said residents became their team. The teams, listed in their appropriate groups, are shown below. The group tables will appear below the groups as and when they can be updated.
Of course, this being the third Talktown Whirldcup, we have a defending champion, namely Rix (where are they now?), attempting to retain the prestigous Whirld Cup Trophy.
